A gynecologist trained at Hospital Vila da Serra in Belo Horizonte, Dr. Gustavo Pizani completed his subspecialty training in Gynecologic Surgery at Hospital da Baleia and furthered his surgical training in France at the Franco-European Endometriosis Institute (IFEMENDO), in Italy through courses in deep pelvic anatomy at the International School of Surgical Anatomy, and in Egypt through the Egyptian Society for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Gustavo Pizani has been immersed in women's healthcare since childhood: his father is a gynecologist and his mother is a nurse. He was encouraged to pursue a career in gynecologic surgery from the beginning of his medical training and has now been involved in this subspecialty for eight years.
